We at Etsy Houston have been getting pretty excited about this event! I know a lot of y’all have been reading about the Etsy Craft Party on Etsy and MeetUp! The links above [they're all the same!] explain a LOT.

Now to answer the “What am I so excited about?!” questions 
On Friday, June 18th, cities all over the world are having craft parties! Etsy is teaming up with ReadyMade and are providing any group that would like to participate with a downloadable Craft Party Kit full of ideas, tutorials, etc.
Please visit the Houston MeetUp site and sign up [I promise it's really easy!]. If you are interested in hanging out with a creative bunch with similar interests, please oh please click “I’m intereted” so we can remain in the top 50 cities! – why???

Welcome everyone! This is the new A Punkin Card Company Blog. I have decided to move my lovely blog over to the main website and use wordpress instead of blogger. It has been a crazy road of transferring domain names, redirecting traffic, and setting up the new design, but I am happy to say it’s finally done! There might be a few bumps or bugs down the road but that is what the testing phase is all about!
Lots going on in Punkin land. I am happily 15 weeks pregnant and doing great. With a few minor sickness setbacks, I am hoping to be back to my semi-normal self again soon. We still do not know the sex of the little punkin but hope to find out very soon. Seems we have a very sleepy baby and does not like to be bothered during ultrasound visits! We’ll keep you posted on the growing process and hopefully the nursery decoration process.
Also, some new wedding designs are on their way. Hopefully not too much longer

Well Happy 2010 everyone! I know I am a bit late on the sentimental end of year post that so many people require, but I am happy to say there will be none of that here! So many new and amazing things are coming out of this office that I can hardly handle it all. Of course there is the biggest news of a little baby Punkin on the way, but there is also the hope of new wedding invitation designs, greeting cards, and some hope that there will be a baby line emerging this year! So keep your fingers crossed, I might need some help and or support, but I would love to get this all done this year, for sure!
On a more romantic note, Valentines Day is coming soon!! Yes and A Punkin Card Company has all your love needs right here! Don’t forget to rack up on the traditional V-Day card but also keep in mind that stationery is an everyday gift. So toss in a boxed gift set for fun. Brownie points are still points!!

A Punkin Card Company wants to thank all of our loyal and new customers for making this year such a great time for us. We couldn’t have done it without you! We passed our sales goals by 100% making 2009 our most profitable year to date! With all this extra attention, we have been able to attend more shows, create new items, and hire more help to get your packages to you sooner.
Since you have made this year so great, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays. Enjoy this time of year with family, friends, or just a good book! We’ll see you again in 2010 with lots of new goodies. So check back soon!

With this intense fog that has settled over the Houston area, it makes we want to sleep in more then normal! Besides the fact that I have no energy to start with, this makes for a long and cold winter. To keep myself occupied, I am trying to think of new designs, new things to create, and how I will handle my business after the little Punkin arrives.
Knowing that things will not ever be the same, I am trying to prepare myself business wise, to understand how to run a company plus take care of a baby. Most of my advice comes from other mothers who run their own businesses and very successfully. Though, I am still looking for adivce. I mean you can’t have enough, right?
How do you balance the day? Did you have to close down for a time? Did you reopen wishing you hadn’t lost all your customers?
